Artistic excellence makes the world sit up in wonder.

The Visual Arts Department at Mount Roskill Grammar School is a small but vibrant department with a team of dedicated teachers. The aesthetic and technical training that students receive in the Visual Arts Department provides a valuable basis for entry into further education at tertiary level, and our students have a sound record of gaining positions at tertiary art and design institutions.

Logo Design

I figure that it's about time we balance things up with a few posts for the Design students. I have found a couple of interesting sites about logo design and an article  from the smashing magazine website about getting inspiration for logo designs from modern art movements. This is particularly relevant for year 12 Art and year 13 Design students, as you should be thinking about how you can adapt the style of your selected artist models into logo designs.

Here a some logo design sites that are worth having a look at and they have excellent links to other logo design websites. So have a surf and enjoy!

http://logodesignerblog.com/ great selection of links - I particularly liked the bad ugly &horrible logos  http://www.logoorange.com/ some interesting info on logo design history and trends.

AND.....how's this for linking street art and logos!! Zev is a French street artist who liquifies logos.
You'll definitely enjoy his website  http://www.gzzglz.com/
